Suda 51 clarifies third-party Wii game comment |
Ó
Grasshopper Manufacture's Goichi Suda (also known as Suda 51) just recently released a statement to clarify his earlier remarks concerning the (lack of) success of third-party games with Nintendo's waggly Wii console. According to the creator of No More Heroes, his remarks have been misinterpreted. He has now already posted an important announcement on Grasshopper Manufacture's website, which we quote below:
My point was that No More Heroes, unlike a lot of Nintendo Wii titles currently available is the kind of product which will attract a different kind of consumer to the hardware, i.e. gamers who are looking for a different genre to the products which have been successful on this platform thus far.
Well there you have it. However, Suda 51's previous comments do hold water, considering the fact that third-party titles rank low in sales compared to first-party Wii games. The trend may even probably continue with upcoming games, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
