Splinter Cell: Conviction, Red Steel 2 moved to 2010 for "additional poilsh" |
Ó

Put two more titles on your 2010 calendar. Ubisoft has confirmed that Splinter Cell: Conviction (Xbox 360, PC) and Red Steel 2 have both been delayed to the March 2010 quarter. Why? Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot says it's to add further polish to both games.
Speaking to Joystiq, Guillemot said:
The changes on Splinter Cell and Red Steel -- it's just a question of polish. The team was asking that they couldn't be with the level of quality on all the maps and all the game for the end of the year, so they had asked for more time to be able to come with a better product, for both of those games.
Guillemot also mentioned that while some parts of both games -- specifically those shown during E3 2009 -- are already at a high enough quality, the same can't be said for the full final products. Good on him for being candid about it, but with all these delays, the early half of next year is starting to look a little crowded.

I wish all game developers were as smart as these people.
We dont need games really fast give it to us when its completed testing and all (maximum time that should be given is 5 months)
are trying to take away some sells from GOW3, They so smart....NOT! Guess I'm ma be broke on March also damn my love for games, my pocket and wallet is yelling at me.
i think that the game was finished but but , the quality was so bad that ubisoft asked for more , beter more time in studio than a game with sales . good idea if its true .
but splinter cell need :
1 - a style
2 - a GFX style ( light , taint , noise , ...)
3 - drawing style ( we dont need imported 3d models ) ( ref MGS drawing style )
4 - cinematics , needs more realisme and mangaka toush .
5 - cameras ( stack 3d person camera is booring for a stelth game .)
6 - Ai have to be boosted
i think if they fix this splenter cell may regain his place .
if only i was in ubi ide kill MGS easily .
So what you're saying is, make Splinter Cell just like MGS, and somehow it'll kill MGS? Makes sense...
Maybe you haven't seen the vids of Conviction, it looks pretty damn good. I think Ubisoft can handle it lol
not like MGS but just competitive , with a real stelth atmosphere and blowing hollywood scenes .
