Sonic Unleashed still on for pre-Christmas release in North America, Europe |

Sonic fans will have a little something to look forward to this holiday season, as Sega has confirmed that Sonic Unleashed is still go for a pre-Christmas release in North America and Europe.
The same thing can't be said for fans in Japan, though, as the game has been delayed there to a 2009 release. Sega has cited "sales strategy and the manufacturing schedule" as reasons for the delay and has denied that the Japanese release would be different from the international versions.
The game's Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 2 version will be released November 28 in Europe, specifically. The PlayStation 3 version is slated to launch later in December. The November 18 North American release should still hold true, as well.
