The graphics are good, but the gameplay looks boring to me.

» Same.

I have the feeling that the game will be garbage. I mean no Sonic game after Sonic Adventure 2 has been good for consoles. Plus, Sega have been botching their games recently like Condemned 2 (no mic support for PS3), Virtua Fighter 5 (no online support for PS3), Sonic Riders, the second Sonic Riders, Sonic & Mario Olympics, and...Well, the list just goes on & on.

The game LOOKS good but I have a feeling the gameplay will suck as usual.

» Try something different

Sega has said that they know their blue friend is getting a negative reputation because of the crap games made recently (sonic riders, sonic and the secret rings, sonic the hedgehog) and that they were going to reinvent the sonic franchise. If only Sammy (parent company of Sega) had kept the original Sonic developers from the Genesis to remind us what the game was all about...

I think it's too early to tell if the game is going to suck or not. I think this game could go two ways, one way would be staying tried and true and have an amazing adventure through 3d levels that don't do cutscenes to do all the crazy jumps or the loop-de-loops but have us to do them ourselves or way two would be having Sonic always running and have real humans in a cartoon universe and have sonic fall in love with a real human.

Oh and if they call him "Eggman" in this one and not "Dr. Robotnik" I'll be a little upset for that too but that's an easy fix...

» Fingers crossed...

I have been a Sonic fan since the Genesis days and of course I always get my hopes up for the next Sonic game. I was let down after playing Sonic and the Secret Rings and STH for the PS3, but I will always be waiting for the day when a new game captures that old feel. Check out this leaked video footage that I found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjxnhXs7Mqs

The motion blur is amazing and the game looks very fluid. While demo videos tend to portray games in their best light, let's hope that this game conquers all of the camera issues that may recent games have suffered from.
