Some new Wii Internet Channel details |

Looks like we better expect some good things to come from Nintendo very soon. Information from Play Nintendo indicates that we are assured of internet channel goodies that have absolutely nothing to do with porn in the near future.According to their article, an Opera rep told them that they could expect the final version of the Wii Opera browser to come out in late March or early April. Previous estimates were for a March release, so we should probably expect the Opera browser to come out during the last week of March.
On the flipside, They also mention that the Opera software will have regular updates to its software. Couple that with the rumors of a keyboard attachment for the Wii, and we can expect that one of those future updates will introduce compatibility for certain types of keyboards. Unfortunately, that last one is only speculation, but it's still good to dream, right?

That's f***ing fantastic. How about USB keyboard support? If they make me buy a special keyboard that plugs into the Wiimote, I am going to format my Wii and sell it. I'm not going to put up with Nintendo requiring tons of new attachments for new software.
Does this mean Nintendo is going to start charging for it?
That's not good news.
Of course Nintendo is going to charge for the web browser update. 500 wii points. but oh well. it will be free at least for a few months. any way don't spaz out. a key bored attachment will be an easy thing done. blue tooth and wireless attachments are easy to make and program. but I'm rambling so I'll stop

I think your a wee bit wrong.........you only have to pay 500points if you havent downloaded the beta version yet.....
The final version is free FOREVER if you buy it before June. Source? The Opera site itself.
