Nintendo Wii console - Image 1A new build for michniewski's SNES emulator on the Wii has finally arrived. Snes9xGX 004 now includes some very important changes made to the code, including an option to allow users to disable the anti-alias filtering when running the program.

As for the rest of the changes, here are the details to the current changelog for Snes9xGX 004:
  • source is now available on google code (http://code.google.com/p/snes9x-gx/)
  • added: option to disable AA filtering (snes graphics 'crisper', AA now default OFF)
  • added: mapped zooming and turbo mode to classic controller
  • added: preliminary usb support (loading)
  • changed: sram and freezes now saved by filename, not internal romname. If you have multiple versions of the same game, you can now have srams and freezes for each version. A prompt to convert to the new naming is provided for sram only.
  • changed: by default, autoload/save sram and freeze enabled
Before installing the emulator, please make sure you already have the "snes9x/roms" and the "snes9x/saves" folders present on your SD card. You can then run Snes9xGX from the Homebrew Channel after copying the apps folder into your SD card.

# Help with saving filesJFord 2008-08-11 18:40
Hey, could you tell me how to save files. I just got homebrew for Wii today and I'm not too familiar on how to operate emulators on the Wii. I got Super Mario RPG and I can save while I'm playing the game, but if I quit playing and go back to the Wii menu then try to load the save file again later it's not there anymore. And if I push the home button on my classic controller while playing it says Couldn't save fat3://snes9x/saves/Super Mario RPG Press A to continue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again.
