SNES Super Mario Kart heads to VC next week, Pilotwings, Super Mario Bros. on holidays

Want the original Super Mario Kart? Then you got it. Nintendo's announced that the classic title will be heading to the Virtual Console of the Wii -- as soon as Monday comes.

And it's not only the 1992 Nintendo racer beefing up the VC library. Pilotwings from SNES and Super Mario Bros. for the N64 are also headed to the Wii console. They'll be arriving this holiday season.

No pricing's been announced yet for Pilotwings and Super Mario Bros., but we do know that Super Mario Kart will be available for 800 Wii Points (US$ 8).

I really, really need to play that game on the Wii!

I have it in my collection for the N64 but, for some reason, I am compelled to have it stare back at me from my Wii Desktop!

...how long it is taking them to release these games on the VC. I guess it's to keep sales and interest constant? I would have liked to play these on the Wii a couple of years ago.

But u gotta remember,most of these games are not just made by nintendo,but by other companies.So they want fair share and then it becomes a legal matter of how much who gets what and that is half of the problem...go fiqure.
