Yep. The guys from SmashMyiPod.com are at it again. This time not only are they going to destroy a PS3 once they get their filthy hands on it, they will destroy a Wii as well. What's with these people and rampant destruction anyway? Perhaps it's the pleasure of knowing that while they're doing what they're doing, some console fanboy out there is crying his heart out.
Schadenfreude dressed up as a "social experiment." Sigh. At least the dude from destroymyvirtualboy.com is doing it to get money to buy himself a console.

This happened only an hour away from where I live. I hope I get to see them when I wait in line for my Wii.
But mant hey waited in line for 55 hours. They were there days in advance camping out in a tent, they got interviewed by techtv and CTV, and then they smashed it. It wasn't their money though so take a pill. Systems were paid for entirely with donations. And man, who cares if they destroy it. I think it's fun to see the first one get smashed. Because you know it won't be the last.
For the record I'm predicting the Wii to stand up strong against whatever they do to it. If you've ever seen Xplay's skit where they destroy the three consoles and only the gamecube survives, you'll know why.

Its funny. I don't know how you could get so angry. At the very least they are smashing all three systems so its not jaded. But I think someone should smash a brand new PC with the best graphics card and latest games installed right in front of them. They are PC gamers and that is partially why they have animosity towards consoles. They have the "PC gamers are cooler" mentallity. It would be way cooler to see the look on that kids face if someone smashed a rig he could never afford right in front of him. Maybe even have a fake delivery guy bring it to his door and then smash it right in front of him. Now that would be equally as funny.
If you noticed they just smashed a core version and the other guy got the premium one so they enjoy playing. Also the PSP one is pretty good too.

One PS2 gave me 4years of comfort, emotion, a safehouse and entertainment a quick rush of a few min can't top that. Everyone plays games for his/her own reasons, i know that im not just playing mindless fps-games, which are so beloved in the West. Rather, i play real games like rpg's and avdentures. It was the very first Xbox 360, which they stole from some deserving gamer. It's not that they destroyed it, they destroyed somebody's chance to play it first. I don't think they deserve to be shot, but that was just cruel and childish of them.
