The game pits famous faces such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Ulala from Space Channel 5, Dr. Eggman, and more in this engaging tennis sim for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS. It was noted in the game's preview on IGN that there are no major differences between the next-gen console versions except for one thing: no online support for the Wii.

This is a rather surprising development considering the amount of online support that the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection boasts for most of its game titles. Apparently this is one department where the Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network actually get one up over their next-gen console rival.

In any case, Sega Superstars Tennis is set to be released this March. We'll just have to wait and see if Nintendo still has plans on adding a last minute online multiplayer function into the game. Updates as we get them!

» who

cares who would want to play a tennis game online anyways

» I would

Even though I don't play sports games, I like tennis alot and woulda liked to play this online. Too bad we get no Wi-Fi, but we would have to deal with those friend codes and plain matchmaking (no ways of customization against playing random people) anyways.
