Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll - Image 1

The game Sega has been building up with their "ballsy" teaser site has finally been revealed as Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll for the Nintendo Wii. Turns out all those weird tags ("sonic," etc.) in the source code were nothing but red herrings.

The teaser site itself has now turned into a splash page for the official Step & Roll website. There's a trailer on there that shows AiAi tilting his world with the use of a Balance Board. It's not sure yet if the Balance Board will be a required peripheral, but I'd be quite surprised if they didn't add Wiimote support for the tilt controls.

You can check out the trailer below. Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll is scheduled for release in early 2010, as stated towards the end of the video.

Called it. Thought those tags were red herrings in the first place. Oh, before I forget, I wonder if there'll even be a AAA Sonic game this year, all of them right now are spin-offs.
