Sega director confirms House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return price |

If people can hit two birds with one stone, then they will. In Sega's case, it's packaging a two-in-one shooting game for the price of US$29.99, according to Sega director Emiko Sunaga. That game is House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, and it's coming to the Nintendo Wii. Is Sega's House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return a port of the arcade classics or an enhanced version of both games? According to Emiko Sunaga, it's a bit of both in a sense. House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return contains arcade-perfect versions of both shooter games, plus new additions to enhance Nintendo Wii players' game experiences. The additions include an aiming cursor, six game modes (plus an extra Wii-exclusive mode) and other bonus content.
Now, if you're wondering where the original House of the Dead and House of the Dead 4 went, Emiko Sunaga mentioned that Sega opted not to include both of them in the compilation for two reasons: one, including the original would have meant delaying the release of the title, which Sega didn't want; two, Sega wanted to use House of the Dead 3 & 4 Return to inspire players to play House of the Dead 4 in arcades.
