What can be more fun than a video game that allows people to destroy things? Why, a video game allows people to destroy things and makes room for a lot of playing styles. That appears to be the premise behind Sega's upcoming game, The Incredible Hulk (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, DS).

Developer Edge of Reality's console version of The Incredible Hulk will allow players to control the gamma-irradiated giant in a sandbox type of environment. According to Sega, players may command the Hulk to tear down buildings and use cars as weapons. It's not all mindless destruction, however - puzzles, sub-quests and mini-games help round out the carnage.

The Hulk reportedly remains true to his comic book incarnation as well; long-time Hulk fans know that the madder Bruce Banner gets, the stronger he gets. The ensuing chaos in the game will fuel the Hulk's fearsome rage. This will result in increased damage, learned techniques and upgraded forms of existing abilities.

Developer Amaze's DS version of The Incredible Hulk, however, will have a different take on Dr. Banner's tale. Sega has mentioned that this version will have him looking for a cure for his condition - a tale that will span 30 levels and such continents as Alaska and the United States. Other characters such as Betty Ross and The Abomination are also set to make an appearance.

Not a bad lineup of features at all. Now, if only we could play as the Hulk's other incarnations as well. Joe Fixit, anyone?

» HULK SMASH!!!!!!

Looks pretty darn good for a comic book game. I'm a old time HULK fan so if this game gets over 7's I'll buy it.
