Rumor with screenshot: Crysis for Wii?

An image has been floating around, sparking rumors that Crysis might make it to the Wii. We know that it's highly doubtful, but hey, developers have dumbfounded us before. Check out the image above and see what you think.

Some actually claim that the title might actually make it to all three next-generation game platforms. If that's the case, the developers are in for quite a task.

Originally slated for the PC platform, Crysis is a good-looking title that has awed everyone in the game community as soon as screens hit the blogs. It has drawn comparisons with some of the best engines out there, including the Unreal Engine 2. As far as game makers Crytek is concerned, there have been no comments regarding the rumor. They did say in their last statement, however, that there are still no console plans for the game. We hope they had a change of plans.

that screenshot was takin from the pre-alpha multiplayer test run from high end pcs and photoshoped with the words "ea" and "wii"

PC game to the end, If it is ported to any console it will be a downgrade and we all know it. Wii does not even count for a pretty game.

i remember last E3 or so one of the creators of crysis said that if they were to port the game to a console, he said that the team who created crysis would like to see a version of it on the wii so maybe one day there will be a slimmed down crysis

they would have to do more then slim the game down the wii has the processing power of a low end PC thats not a bad thing but that means that the actual game would look like farcry for the wii and we all know how bad that looked lol

If you guys havent read enough to actually know how much power the Wii actually has. EA posted a few months before Wii released, that they were pleased to know that Wii has more power than what they actually though. I think Crysis can make it to Wii, but wouldnt look anywhere near as good as the PC version or even a 360 version. Knowing that Crytek will do everything they can to push Wii to its hardware limits, It will be a greatd looking game, with smooth and very accurate controls. If Crytek or any other developer will put time into using all of Wii's hardware capabilities.

you make a good point in this argument but unless the have a crap load of help from Nintendo ( because the only truly good looking games are gonna be made by them for some time) the game wont meet the limits of the wii without loss of frame rates.
