So far, we can do lots with our Wii consoles and Wiimotes: cook, go fishing, play golf, play tennis and do a web rodeo ala Spider Man. We even have Wiimote attachments that look like sports gadgets. How come we can't use the Wiimote to sing?
Not so, says this recent rumor from Rumor Reporter. They say that a microphone Wiimote attachment is coming. This rumor has been backed up by the announcement that Disney's High School Musical, an upcoming Wii title, will be including a Wii microphone.
More titles are even going to be produced involving this Wii microphone, says Rumor Reporter. There's even talk of a brand new Wii channel based on this karaoke Wiimote attachment. Thus we quote,
This once-rumored accessory is already being developed in co-junction with several game titles, some of which was shown at Game Developers Conference and previous events. Recent conferences at GDC 07 also indicate that this is the first official public showing of the peripheral to numerous press outlets.
We're still not certain when this rumored Wii microphone is ever going to appear, but for sure, we're already excited about it.
