Nintendo franchise fans who missed Kid Icarus may remember an announcement of  Wii game starring Pit mentioned a couple of years back. Okay, so you may not remember it at all anymore, but you should know that there's a rumor floating around, one that says the Wii Kid Icarus game has already started rolling into production.

As mentioned earlier this year, Factor 5 is reported to have picked up the Wii Kid Icarus project. Gaming website managed to scrounge up "evidences" pertaining to the development of the game, in the form of concept artwork for the main character. The artwork greatly varies, though very few of the pieces reflect Pit as we know him to be, and instead depicts him as a darker, grown up version of the winged warrior we know and love.

Factor 5 supposedly revealed a hint about the game's plot, which revolves around an adult Pit who is paying for a crime by being punished for thousands of years. The story also involves him getting a tattoo, which indicates the crime he committed.

Pretty much a different take on Pit, and we're curious as to how Factor 5 develop the concept. In the meantime, check out some of the concept art. Hit the Via link below for more images!

» What?

If the game features an adult Pit, then it won't be KID Icarus then, will it? This concept art looks terrible... reminds me of what they did to the prince in Prince of Persia after Sands of Time, trying to make him look "edgier". I certainly hope it doesn't have a lame angsty rock soundtrack too (ala Godsmack in Warrior Within.... what a turd of an idea that was). I hope this isn't Factor 5's real work; or at least that it's changed drastically since these images were released.
