Rumor: why is there no Wii for Wal-mart?

Wal-MartWhile Wal-Mart would be distributing the Wii come Revolution day, it's not going to be the same as the others. Apparently, there's been some whispers going around saying that the fourth quarter layout of the stores won't be having any space for the Wii demo kiosk.

Whoa, whoa, hold on, sparky. This doesn't mean that they won't be selling Wii units anymore. This only means they won't have a demo kiosk. Besides it's only a rumor. Both Wal-Mart and Nintendo management won't speak up with an official statement about this, but true enough, their employers are talking.

It's also been heard that the reason why none of the Wal-Marts are going to have a demo kiosk is for "fear of some kid getting hurt or injuring others in the process of flailing his arms around." Yeah, that's a bit of a leap, but we're thinking maybe they're just concerned for their customers. You can't blame them.

Some have confirmed that their Wal-Mart branch won't have a Wii demo kiosk. Maybe you can call up your neighborhood branch and check up on them. This just might be a rumor that you can investigate for yourself.

To the article.

I work as a Wal-Mart rep and it is currently being decided if Wal-Mart stores should really be selling and promoting a product which has negative subliminal messaging to young children in its name.

Clarification?

"I work as a Wal-Mart rep and it is currently being decided if Wal-Mart stores should really be selling and promoting a product which has negative subliminal messaging to young children in its name." -George Locke What exactly are you refering to when you say negative subliminal messaging? Which word is offensive? Nintendo or Wii.

Nah.. why should they anyways?

Wal-Mart is welfare|TANF Food Stamp retail USA. Many poor *****gots come in and in the end have all the game kiosks destroyed, malfunctioning and crap. Many low-lifers do that because they can't afford new technologies, and are green with envy with intellectuals. Oh, and by the way, TANF is Texas' program for food stamps, not that I get any :P...

why not replace the xbox(original) kiosks?

they ALWAYS have the 'out of order' sign on them. Like, the day they were first installed, they were out of order. Well, that's just where I am. I don't know about anywhere else.

A follow up.

The word "Wii." The double "i" is thought to represent two phallic objects adjacent to each other. The pronunciation of the title is also thought to be very controversial in conjuction with the first issue. All this is currently under much debate.
