Rumor: Super Mario Galaxy pre-orders at 400,000 mark - Image 1Rumors have been floating around that Super Mario Galaxy pre-orders have already hit the 400,000 mark. This information allegedly comes from employees working at GameStop/EB Games. Aside from the tip GoNintendo received on this, they did a little checking of their own and came up with the same numbers.

While this isn't an official release by Nintendo, it could very well be a good measure of how successful this game will be when it does come out. If this rumor proves to be true, Nintendo may have yet another hit on their hands. After all, with the success of most of their franchises and consoles, it would be pretty hard to believe that their flagship IP wouldn't be cashing in as well.

Super Mario Galaxy is slated for a November 12 release in the US and November 1 in Japan. Perhaps we'll be getting an official announcement regarding how this game sold after that.

Wow.

Dang, that's crazy. If didn't preorder, you probably won't get it for a while.

Damn

If I don't get a move on. There will be slim to no copies in store at all. Like what happened when I was trying to search for Luminous Arc for the DS.

Dang

That was fast. First the Wii main system, now this.

Luminous Arc

Man, I can sooo relate to that. I had some of my very own Luminous Arc deprivation when it came out too. Ended up begging my friend to borrow his copy. Here's to hoping my traumatic experience doesn't repeat itself with Galaxy.
