Rumor: Factor 5 making new Kid Icarus title for Nintendo Wii? - Image 1 After its collaboration with Sony on the PlayStation 3, we learned last week that Factor 5,had expressed their desire to team up once again with Nintendo for the Wii.

This was revealed by no other than the video game company's president, Julian Eggebrecht.

Given that, the next logical question to ask is what specific project Factor 5 wants to bring to Wii, especially that Eggebrecht had already commented that it's not going to be a Virtual Console or WiiWare title, but a full-fledged new one.

According to website Kombo, their sources have told them that this new project is none other than a new installation in the Kid Icarus franchise. It was also said that the game is being developed from the ground up and no previous game engines will be used.

Kombo also added that they sent emails to both Nintendo and Factor 5 for some clarifications but the two have yet to give their comments. Keep checking back here at QJ.NET as we promise to update you as soon as something comes up.

» Perfekt choice if it's true

The rumblings of a new Kid Icarus have been steadily growing since (at least) the GameCube was released. With Pit featuring in Smash Bros. Brawl (as one of the more prevalent characters no less) everything seems to be pointing in the direction of a new game being in development (or at least being planned).

Also, Kid Icarus shure seems like a no-brainer - perfect fit, for the Wii.

I'm really looking forward to this one!
