It looks like Nintendo is really getting ready to start pumping out some Wii color variants. According to a post on Nintendo-centric video game news site GoNintendo, some confirmation has been dug up on the possible appearance of an official blue Wiimote in the future.

Listing for a blue Wiimote at Argos - Image 1

The pic above was reportedly snapped and sent in by one of GoNintendo's readers from the UK. It's apparently a shot of UK retailer Argos' computer system which lists a blue Wiimote SKU. The same GoNintendo reader that took the picture also mentioned that a listing for a pink Wiimote popped up in their system as well.

The listed price - 29.99 in the pic -  is apparently in Great Britain pounds (GBP), making the Wiimote around US$ 60. No confirmation on a similarly-colored Nunchuk yet, but with that kind of price, perhaps Nintendo will be bundling the two controllers together.

well...

"but with that kind of price, perhaps Nintendo will be bundling the two controllers together." you are kidding right? thats exactly how much we pay for a seperate wiimote on its own. and the price is almost always around the same price as in us dollars (so 30 quid means around 30 dollars whereas it should be around 60) - this is how much we get ripped off for on EVERY purchase. it aint called rip off britain for nothing ya know?

Dont be too harsh on them Anger

They still think they're paying a lot for a gallon of petrol when we pay double roughly double what they and only get a litre. Still, I'm not too interested in blue or pink. I'm waiting for the black ones.

Pricing

Normal Wiimotes cost around £30 here in the UK, the equivalent in dollars is more than Americans have to pay. You can rest assured that the price of coloured Wiimotes will be the same as normal Wiimotes over there.

no

The USA actually has some of the lowest taxes in the world and the highest standard of living. Maybe thats why the country is in dept along with half the population.

A long time coming...

I work at Toys R Us in Canada and the Blue and Pink Wii-Remotes have been in our system for over two months now. They only recently got manufacturers numbers (meaning that it has been confirmed that we will be recieving them within the next two months)

Announced

Those two Wiimotes where a while ago on an releaselist if I'm right. They where dated for an release on 29-06-2007, together with an silver one. There where, of course, also Nunchucks in those colors.

Depends how much you earn.

We dont use a fixed percentage here, it's dependant on your income. The lower it is, the less tax you pay. My dad has quite a good job, so he pays more than 50% tax on his income. Then there's the thing of VAT being 17.5% over here instead of the 6 or 7 it is there. (Thats what it was last time I went to America, it might not be right, but you get the idea.)
