Rubik's Cube-like Wii Fit advertisement in Times Square

Wii Fit Nintendo - Image 1Not contented with the media and celebrity blitz that it already stirred up - not to mention a highly publicized racket it caused when it sent a 10-year-old girl into despair about her weight - Nintendo's Wii Fit continues to get more exposure via a well-placed advertisement right in the middle of Times Square.

Looking like a humongous Rubik's Cube, the Wii Fit ad in Times Square actually comprises of several screens that each show people doing various exercises with Nintendo Company Ltd.'s fitness program. It's a pretty neat sight, especially during the evenings.

We can't help but think that it would be better if other crowd favorite games would get the same kind of treatment - Wii Fit: celebrities, hype, a dedicated gigantic Rubik's Cube, and angsted-up pre-teens. But sadly, even gems like No More Heroes have difficulty gaining the exposure they deserve, despite giving out free rolls of tissue paper.

Makes sense

to overhype and overadvertise a useless product. How else could anyone get Wii Fit to sell?

WTF!?!?!?!?!

Well, seeing as how many retailers gave away a DVD showing people EXACTLY what Wii Fit does FOR FREE and seeing as how there is a HUGE lack of negative reviews....I'd say that has the MOST to do with it. Unless of course you think this AD is NY can be seen by all the US? Hum...you seem to lack common sense and logic above all else.

You just don't get it.

Let's look at the facts. Wii Fit has been getting rave reviews from every professional games reviewer out there. It is selling all over the world like massively popular games before it. MCS, you also failed to mention the ridiculous hype that Halo 3 got, which turned out to be a huge disappointment. In fact, your statement would make sense if you replaced the words "Wii Fit" with "Halo 3". Don't get me wrong, Halo's a good series, but Halo 3 got far more hype than the finished product deserved. It's more like Halo 2.5.

WTF!?!?!?!?!

He's a liar and he'll never admit otherwise. Check out this link: http://wii.qj.net/Get-fit-with-Wii-Fit-Miyamoto-on-the-health-gaming-phenomenon/pg/49/aid/119139/act/success He posted a link to a review then ATTEMPTED to cut up individual sentances to make them sound bad. He claimed the review was a BAD review for the Wii Fit. When in fact once a person with at least a 3rd grade education read the actual review found out it was a GOOD REVIEW for the Wii Fit. They even finished up the review by saying something along the lines of, this review isn't as good as it should be since this isn't an actual game and we're not used to reviewing such things.....something like that. He's just about as worthless as they come.

It's everywhere

Wii Fit is even getting press in the Wall Street Journal. Two days ago there was an article on Wii Fit: "For Wii Lovers, Something Worth Sweating Over". Is it any surprise Wii Fit is everywhere?
