Robomodo already thinking about Tony Hawk: Ride sequel |
Ó
Tony Hawk: Ride (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) is not even released yet, and already, talks of a sequel are already coming out. And it's not like it's from some obscure insider source too. Developer studio Robomodo's president, Josh Tsui, would be that "insider source," and you can't get any more reliable than that.In an interview with Industry Gamers, Tsui talked about what's been keeping them busy in their studio, and this was his reply:
Obviously, we're very focused on getting this (Ride) done, but being the creative types that we are, we're always writing up new game proposals and things we want to do. It's just a matter of timing. With Tony Hawk: Ride finishing up [we have to think about] the sequel to the game and where that fits into our schedule. It's a lot of juggling at this point.
The way he talked about it, it didn't even seem like making a sequel was even deliberated upon; as if it was the natural progression meant for the game. They're not thinking about whether or not they'll make a sequel, they're thinking about what they'll put in the sequel.
Plus, it's a Tony Hawk game. From Activision. Of course there will be a sequel.

Worrying about quickly chucking out a sequel each year is what killed the Tony Hawk series. And Skate being awesome too but that's besides the point.
If Josh Tsui can land a kick flip.
