It has been reported that the European version of Rising Star Games' No More Heroes would be censored and certain elements will be removed like the use of blood and too much gore. Well, that is not the case or so according to Rising Star Managing Director Martin Defries. In a response to criticism leveled against Rising Star Games, Defries mentioned that, barring localization, the European version of No More Heroes would be identical to the U.S. version of the game.
Mr. Defries proceeded to clear up any confusion regarding Rising Star's No More Heroes with the following explanation:
There are two versions of No More Heroes that are going to be published in the West. Ours, which will be drawn down from our parent company, Marvelous Interactive, which is directly from the Japanese iteration of the game.
And there will be a version in the U.S. that is a full-on gore, be-headings, dismemberment and it seems some confusion has come to the fore in the past few days as to which version Rising Star Games will publish.
Why the decision has been made is a difficult one for me to comment on - that's a Ubisoft decision for the North American market. We've always drawn down our games from Japan, we tailor them in language, in text and audio, and nothing else.

They just said 2 different things in the same article.
From what I've heard, the blood and more body disasembly has been ADDED to the US version by request of Ubisoft.
So they are saying that they only change script and audio from the Japanese version, but will have the same as the US version?
The thing is neither Japan or Europe get's a censored version, it's actually the US who's getting a toned up in violence game.
That is how I understood the comments from Suda51.
