Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles breaks one million mark, multiplatform version in the works? - Image 1Capcom has sent QJ.NET a press wire proudly announcing that Nintendo Wii exclusive Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles has finally broken the one million total units sold mark for the whole world.

The Umbrella Chronicles holds a very special place in the Resident Evil franchise as it is the game that explains why the corporation really fell. It also gives players a glimpse of what really happened during those dark times.

Quite interestingly though, the press wire sent to us by Capcom included the following statements about Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles:

As always, we at Capcom will continue to strive to develop new and original games that appeal to a broad audience around the world while expanding our properties for single content multiple usage.

We believe that by bringing this to multiple platforms, it will help the franchise reach an even greater number of users eager for its unique game play.

One has to wonder what the statement "bringing this to multiple platforms" exactly means. While Capcom has yet to reveal other details about this, we should just enjoy the success the game is currently enjoying.

Keep checking back here at QJ.NET for more updates.

Guncon 3 + HD graphics = win.

3 things!

1. The game sucks, it's seriously one of the most underdone lightgun (like) games I've ever played.

2. The only reason it sold 1mill is cuz there's like 20mill wiis out there with nothing to play, so owners grab but anything that looks even 1/2 decent.

3. It's not in HD and don't expect a port anywhere else to be either.

Oh really??

Of course there's games on the Wii, (actually quite a few) but 95% are so horrible that the few average games sell very well. I think that's what hush404 meant. I mean, how long is Sonic and Mario olympics going to be a top seller? I don't think that game could even be considered average for last gen.

» yeah...

I pretty much agree with hush404... I rented it and it was overly difficult, but pretty mediocre. And they don't even put anything from RE2 in it... wtf!

The main reason it's sold so much is name recognition. People want a "new" RE game, so this is the closest they're going to get for a while.

A few years from now, much like Super Paper Mario, this game will be in bargain bins everywhere. The real ironic part is using the WiiZapper makes it *harder* to play...

1. You suck. You're seriously one of the most idiotic humans I've ever met.

2. The only reason it sold one million is because a lot of RE fans happen to have Wiis, and wanted to play the game for the story, AND the gameplay.

3. It'll be in HD if they bring it to the PS3 and 360 (which they obviously will, one of them), and they'll pretty much port it.
