Enough about Resident Evil 4 for Wii rumors and let's get on with the facts. As early as now, please do not confuse RE4 with Umbrella Chronicles as the two video game titles are different from one another. Japanese magazine Famitsu, in its latest issue, said that Capcom confirmed that there is in fact an RE4 title, and that it's also coming to Wii.If you're still not completely down with this, Famitsu further proved its claim by providing details on how the game's controls will all play out. Accordingly, RE4 will make full use of the Wiimote. During close-range attacks, the motion-sensitive controller should be shaken, Leon will automatically detect the enemy and perform a knife attack.
Likewise, the Wiimote will also be used to aim a targetting cursor in order to shoot and fire at your enemies. Hold down the "B" button and shake it a bit to reload your ammo. The built-in speaker will also sport a reload sound effect. Before all of these even take place, players are given an option to select between difficulty settings "Easy" and "Amateur".
As you all know, there's an RE4 version on PlayStation 2 (PS2). Famitsu added that all bonus elements in this version will be incorporated in the Wii version, meaning we can all play as Ada during "The Another Order" sequence.
Capcom is yet to officially announce Resident Evil 4 to the Japanese public, let alone in other parts of the world. We can expect that public confirmation to arrive in the coming days or weeks. It will be out in Japan on May 31.

This is a *****ing insult. I can't believe Capcom would take one of the very best PS2 games and turn it into a babyfied wagglefest. This is complete horse*****.
I think the real insult is that it was one of the very best GAMECUBE games before it even went anywhere near a PS2... >_
For those that want to preorder it, the SKU at Gamestop / EB is 230095. It'll show up as something other than RE4, but it'll be changed once an official announcement is made. Also, the total price of the game should be $29.99 (that's what it was set at before they "removed" it).
um ralph your a total dumbass. enough said. RE4 came out for gc like maybe a year or so before is was released for ps2 and surprisingly enough it actually had better graphics than the ps2 version
Wrong, it was out for Nintendo Game Cube first before it went to Ps2 so that is good idea to go to wii as well.
I wished nintendo could just add wii remote support to gamecube games...
I've already got RE for the cube (way before the ***** ps2 version) and dont really want to buy it again just for wii remote support :(
I recently got the PC version and OMG that was the most horrible experiance of my life....graphics looked terrible and it only had mouse support if you downloaded a mod for the game....
Capcom should have done a better port than that!

dude the ps2 beats the Pants off of the gamecube. all it has is a bunch of rated E rugrats games. i would rather re4 not have been released at all than have it released on a piece of **** childrens console.

Any of you guys who dislike this console or that console are a disappointment for the gaming community, that and probably only 10 years old, physically and/or mentally. A true gamer will not own only one system, and definitely not be a fanboy. Good gamers will own many systems including a PC, because each has their own mature games and their kiddy games. I own many systems and hold allegiance to none because there are good games on all systems. So for your wii/ps2/pc bashing, get back to playing or suckin your moms teet. *****es.
