Release of Wii MotionPlus set in motion, Wii Sports Resort to follow |
Ó
Nintendo's bringing on the heat as they set the date for the release of their two latest projects - the advanced motion-sensing Wii MotionPlus, and Wii Sports Resort, a title that's expected to demonstrate the power of Nintendo's new controller.
Wii MotionPlus is supposed to be able to track players' movements in much finer detail and greater accuracy than what we've already seen with the WiiMote. Even the slightest twist of the wrist or turn of the body is replicated exactly on the screen, says Nintendo. This new accessory comes with a US$ 19.99 price tag, and will be on US retailers by June 8th, 2009.
To follow the new accessory is Wii Sports Resort, the game that's expected to showcase the power of Wii MotionPlus with an all-new set of "entertaining and physically immersive activities" which include riding water scooters, swordfights, and throwing Frisbees. Wii Sports Resort will be bundled with Wii MotionPlus at US$ 49.99, and will be available on July 26th.

Awesome! Looking forward to it. And cheap to! I was expecting $30 each but $20 is even better!
So now you're paying $60 for a Wii-mote that has what should have been built in from the beginning? Plus, if you need the nunchuk, they get another $20 out of you for one controller. That crafty Nintendo....
At least this way they ensure few games will support the add on and make more profit for themselves.
Sony sells the Dualshock 3 for what the Sixaxis originally cost. Nintendo would do the same if they weren't so greedy.
why did the comments get removed? thats dodgy. just like this article. dodgy.
1. The remote absolutly SHOULD NOT have included this from the beging. You are ignorant for stating as such.
2. The Wiimote only costs $40. This is NOT a requirment. It's an ACCESSORY. The accessory costs $20 IF AND ONLY IF you want to play a game to gain that functionality.
3. The dualshock controller can NOT do what the wiimote can do and it certainly can NEVER do what the MP does.
Try again.
