RedOctane is currently offering three new pre-order bundles for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii). These bundles cost US$ 10 more than the regular bundles, but they do come with around US$ 70 worth of extra goodies.

Just like the regular bundles, the new Elite pre-order bundles will include a copy of the game, a wireless Les Paul guitar controller, a white faceplate, a standard 1-inch wide guitar strap and a sticker pack. The freebies are a custom faceplate for the guitar controller, a dual guitar gig bag, a Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock T-shirt, a custom 2-inch wide strap, and a Guitar Hero keychain.

Both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 bundles are priced at US$ 109.99. The Wii bundle is the cheapest at US$ 99.99. You can learn more about them via the Read link below.

PS2 / Ps3

Will the Guitar for the PS3 work with the PS2 and or the other way around? (I know the Disk for the PS3 most likely wont work on the PS2 - No Blue ray I KNOW) BTW - 1st :-p

Guitar for Dummies!

I think what's funny is the fact that this game gives so many people with no musical talent whatsoever, the false hope that they can "jam" like a rock star. Going so far as to buy accessories for their make believe guitars. I think this was a very cool idea for a game, but somewhere you have to draw the line. Here's an idea that's even more fun, put down the FAKE guitar that you spent $90 bucks on (including game) and get a real guitar for $100 to start learning. I guarantee you will be alot happier in the end when you're playing songs for real.

time?

I like both. I've been playing guitar for about a year (stilll somewhat sucking) and have played GH. GH is a fun GAME which doesn't require time to learn. Some people don't have the time to learn a new instrument.

Comments for Dummies!

Kinda like what I think is funny, which is someone who has no personality who gets a computer and is given the false hope that someone online will give two *****s about what you think. It's a game, dude. It's not a real guitar. We all know it, and no one cares. Straight up, playing a real guitar just isn't a fun, no matter how much pot you smoked beforehand. So, what's better? $100 for a real *walmart* guitar that I'll play once and never touch again, or $100 for a game that I can play with all of my friends and have LOTS of fun with? Go screw.

Re: Comments for Dummies!

Sweet! It was all worth it if I got at least one reply from someone with an IQ lower than their age. I do apologize for waking you up from your nap in your parents basement. Thanks for the reply though. I think overall you misunderstand the point, though not a real shocker there, that the thrill of playing the game is cool but the thrill of playing for real is 10 fold. If you put half the effort into trying any instrument for that matter, as you did playing next gen air guitar, you could learn it. I am not taking away from the game at all. It is a excellent game and long overdue I might add. Just realize that a room full of plastic axe playing GH123 players isn't a battle of the bands. P.S. Rock on Twister. You prove you can have the best of both worlds. The "somewhat sucking" part goes away in time. GH will help with timing, fretting and rythem. Keep it up.

..

Why not? A regular game is $60 and a controller is $50.
