Remember the Wii exploit that allowed you to dump Wii discs onto the PC? Yeah - we thought it was cool too... until we heard the details on the 50-hour waiting period needed just to burn a Wii game image onto a CD. This time around though, somebody has gone and developed an exploit capable of doing the same task at only three hours. Still slower than evolution, but a definite improvement on the past exploit.The dumper's named Rawdump v1.0 Final Released, and aside from the considerably fast image dump capability, it comes with a complete re-write of the dump code, error correction, and integrated unscrambler.

One important detail to add is that this dumper needs an LG Drive to get cranking - that the Wii runs on a Hitachi-LG rig. Given that there are already two modchips out for this particular console (Cyclowiz and Wiinja), we'll leave it up to you guys to imagine what the possible outcome of this news is (Clue: Arrr!).
