Not for games you don't want. - Image 1 Chris Faylor over at the WIRED Blogs thought that he had a good idea for an article, until an overlooked fact stumped him. He basically thought that he could write an article about Wii Points lacking password protection. Much to his disappointment, you apparently can protect your Wii points. Here's how:
  • Hit the the Wii Options button and navigate your way to Wii settings
  • Bring up page 2 and then choose Parental Controls.
  • Create your PIN and your secret question
  • Lastly in Other Settings, select yes when asked about restricting the use of Wii points.
And there you go, your drunken flatmate won't be able to waste your Wii Points on some game you didn't even want. Oh, before we forget, you can also restrict the Internet, News, and the highest gaming rating allowed from the Other Setting step.

Oh, and if you really needed this how-to, please remember that the Weather Channel is not a game. No mater what your friend says.
