In the past, there have been numerous reports of Wiimote-related accidents. Those happened because the controller slipped off the hands of players probably due excessive swinging (or even sweating). The same has not been an issue with the classic controller but just in case, you might want to take a look at Gametech's latest accessory. It is actually a protective cover for the controller which will become available in Japan starting April 25.
Made out of silicon and rubber, the cover prevents sliding and protect the controller from scratching. Grip has also been improved because of a brace device placed in the cover's rear. Also, two caps have also been included to protect the analog sticks.
The accessory will be priced for 980 yen or roughly around US$ 8. It comes in three colors: white, blue and black. There is still no mention if this will be shipped in other markets outside of Japan.
