Pokemon galore with Lucario, Dialga and Palkia featured in Brawl |
Ó
It's a weekend of Pokemon madness in this latest update from the Smash Bros. DOJO!! for Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Brawl. To end the week with a bang, we take a look at three of the most powerful Pokemon critters that will make an appearance in the game.First off is the Aura Pokemon, Lucario. Considered as one of the game's hidden characters, this ninja-like Pokemon's special Aura ability can be a boon for players who enjoy taking high risks on the battlefield with Lucario's high-powered fighting style.
Due to the passive ability this Pokemon has, all of Lucario's moves increase in damage and effect the higher your damage counter is. Lucario couples this dangerous ability with a combination of both long-range attacks and short-range counter moves.
Of course, let's not forget the full power of Aura unleashed with Lucario's Final Smash - Aura Storm. Watch as the Aura Pokemon levels the entire battlefield by firing a controllable Aura beam at the other brawlers.
To unlock Lucario, you can either win 100 brawls or beat the Target Smash!! mode on all difficulties, then beat Lucario in a brawl match to permanently get the Pokemon in your fighting roster. You can also obtain Lucario by getting the Pokemon to join your party in The Subspace Emissary.
The other two Pokemon featured in this update include Dialga and Palkia from their respective Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl series. For Brawl, however, they make their appearance in the Spear Pillar unlockable stage, which consists of a two platformed areas reflecting the two's dual nature.
Since both Pokemon are masters of space and time, expect the stage to get a little weird in terms of orientation and speed. Aside from that there's been reports of other rare Pokemon making their way on the stage as well.
To access Spear Pillar, make sure to unlock "Event 25: The Aura Is With Me" to permanently add the stage to your choice of battlefields at the start of a match.
That's about it for this week of Brawl goodness. Tune in again next week as we pick up more updates to the upcoming fighting game on the Nintendo Wii.
