Pictures of the Wii's interface in action

Wii's menu: like television, only better.

Delicious. It's really hard to find words to describe how amazingly friendly Wii Channels happen to look like, so let's just use the word "delicious." As you see from the picture above, it kind of looks a little bit like a television screen from the late 1950s combined with the sleek lines of an iMac interface.


Who got these pictures, you might ask? Yahoo News managed to find pics of the Wii in action, specifically of the Virtual Console and the Mii. As mentioned earlier, it's very pleasing to the eye, and if you'll check out their additional pictures, you'll also notice that the same kind of friendly atmosphere is also going to be implemented for the Mii. At the same time, it seems rather motherly, as one of the pictures shows a virtual message a mother would send to his son.

Sure, it's not exactly a very manly kind of thing to add for promotional value, but it's still darned cute. Enjoy the pictures, and tell us what you think of the interface. Also, additional thanks goes to Kotaku for bringing this up.
