Opoona Wii - Image 1Video game publisher Koei has announced that ArtePiazza's Wii exclusive Opoona has finally gone gold and will be shipping to North American retailers this March 25. It looks like the developers will actually be making the expected release date of the game after all.

In case this is the first time you've heard of this Wii exclusive RPG, here's a little background. Players are put in the shoes of Opoona, a descendant of the Cosmo Guards who gets separated from his family. Opoona must now find a way to both survive and reunite himself with his family.

This game has already been released in Japan where it didn't do as well as some may have hoped. It might be interesting to see if this game gets a better reception from North American gamers.
