Remember that case of Wal-Mart selling a Nintendo Wii for US$ 677? Well, Wal-Mart isn't the only place where you can find an exorbitantly-priced Nintendo Wii. According to PriceGrabber, e-retailers are selling Nintendo Wiis for close to the same price: US$650.Not surprising, considering the way the Law of Supply and Demand works. According to a survey that Price Grabber conducted on 3,309 online shoppers early during this month, PriceGrabber reportedly found out that "31% of online shoppers favor the Nintendo Wii" because of the kinds of games that the console offers.
Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America, has already made Nintendo's stance clear regarding retailers who insist on creating Nintendo Wii bundles just to jack up prices and make a profit. Whether these retailers will heed Nintendo's subtle warning remains to be seen.

Remember the 'tens of thousands' of rain checks GameStop is getting?
10,000 * $250 = $2.5 million
And they were talking about multiple tens of thousands.
How do you expect their competitors to survive when pretty much the whole flow of Wiis will be going to GameStop?
