The localization of Japanese games tends to be a hit-or-miss affair, especially when it comes to finding the right name for the game. We think D3Publisher has done the impossible though, telling folks exactly what the Japanese Oneechanbara series is all about with their announcement of Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers for the American and European Wii markets.

As the title states, Bikini Zombie Slayers essentially lets you slash your way through hordes of zombies as a hot girl in a bikini. For a bit of variety, you can also slash your way through the same hordes of zombies as another character, who wears a schoolgirl outfit instead.

The game lets you play as sisters Aya (bikini) or Saki (schoolgirl) in single-player or have them team up in co-op mode for even more fun. Even better is that there's a power-up system based on gore. If you get too much blood on either sister, you'll go into Rage Mode and gain more power and agility, letting you kill enemies faster.

The game is expected to ship in early 2009, so watch out for it. In the meantime, enjoy these screenshots we have for you.

The game looks really bad right now.

Hopefully they get that enhanced before it's release.
