It's been reported on quite a few times, with a response from Capcom not really killing it off nor fanning its flames. Even so, it seems that the rumors of Okami being ported over to the Nintendo Wii has yet to say uncle, resurfacing in an upcoming EGM issue.

So what's is the rumor? Word on the street is that Capcom, publishing company responsible for quirky yet artful hits such as Killer 7 and Devil May Cry is now working on an upgraded version of the Zelda-styled adventure, complete with full Wiimote support. Yes, no more fumbling with an analog key - you'll be drawing bombs and slashing through enemies with a quick swipe of Nintendo's waggle wand.

We've heard it all before, though. What's new here? Well, for one, EGM has always been on the right track, as far as rumors of games such as these are concerned. And with the success of converting Resident Evil 4 to fully utilize the Wii's motion-sensing controls, Capcom has nothing to lose with a Wii version of Okami, and a legion of wiimote-waggling fans to gain.

Here's to hoping that this long-debated rumor actually does come true. After all, if Capcom's willing to listen to fans about Resident Evil being ported to a certain handheld, surely they could lend an ear to those of us who want Okami on the Wii, right? Developments as they happen, so keep it locked right here!

» Casual to regular

I guess games like these could be a step to bring some casual gamers in regular gamers. Guess that good games like these could interest some people that has not tried Zelda because they were more into the casual games. The drawing aspect could interest some of those gamers and they would discover adventure games.
