Mega Man first appeared back in 1987 - Image 1The Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) rated two new classic video game titles a couple of days ago. The applicant was Nintendo Australia, suggesting that the two are headed to Wii's Virtual Console (VC) soon.

The first one is Lunar Pool or what is known as Lunar Ball in Japan. The title was created by Compile and first appeared on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). We once played this game and had fun with the pool tables (they were shaped differently, making it even harder to pocket the balls - although beginners often got lucky shots).

The other title is the more interesting one: Capcom's Mega Man. It was developed by Capcom back in 1987 and first appeared on NES platform. As you know, this franchise has come up with a lot of sequels and spin-offs even up to this day.

And we can't help but wonder if this is the start of an upcoming Mega Man onslaught on Wii. After all, a compilation disc was released for GameCube.

As we've seen before, any OFLC rated classic game, or ESRB rated classic game for that matter, is a sure go. It's just a matter of time before we start seeing these two on our consoles.

I remeber

Oh! My good, my subcontious might have erased this from my memory. Megaman Pak was one of the ugliest one ever. It has more in common with a bad Tronr ripoff game than the actual game itself. Anyway, good to know it is coming to the VC.
