Nyko Wireless Sensor Bar available now

After three months of waiting, video game peripheral maker and retailer Nyko finally released today its Wireless Sensor Bar for Nintendo Wii. This same item was actually displayed in its full glory at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

In a nutshell, the wireless sensor bar widens the connectivity range between the console and the Wiimote up to 25 feet. This range was achieved by the wonder bar through its IR field. It is powered by four AA batteries that provides more or less 30 hours of use.

There is also a power save mode that sounds off an alarm, and automatically shuts off the device, whenever the wireless sensor bar has been powered for too long. Its other features include:

Wireless technology allows for sensor bar to be placed anywhere in the room with no restrictive cables
Allows for clean, easy, wire-free installation
Compatible with Nintendo Wii sensor bar stand
Ideal for wall-mounted flat screens

The Nyko Wireless Sensor Bar can be purchased in leading retail stores Amazon, Best Buy, Circuit City, GameStop, and Wal-Mart. Pricing ranges from US$ 19.82 to US$ 21.99.

its really cool...like if you want to move your wii around or if you really want to go all out like me you can have a/v jacks around your house and be in one room with the wireless sensor bar in that room and have the wii in the living room and it still works the same....but you will still have to get up to change games :-P
