As you can probably guess, this is the opening cinematic for the game, featuring all the backstory you'll need to drive you into taking on Concrete Man, Splash Woman, and all the other robot masters. Expect more Mega Man 9 updates as the days pass.

This... doesn't make sense.
The plot of the original Mega Man was that Dr. Wily was an assistant of Dr. Light (Dr. Wight, Dr. Wright, whatever he was called then) who turned Dr. Light's service robots into evil fighting machines and tried to take over the world...
So now... Dr. Wily is using Dr. Light's robots to try to take over the world... and everyone believes him when he says it's all Dr. Light's doing?
Meh. I'll still get it, obviously. Classic Mega Man goodness makes me happy.
In the begining he used a couple of his robots but then he created all of his own robots.
This time around, all the GOOD robots just FLIPPED A SWITCH and became bad overnight. These are all Dr. Lights service robots that are going bad. The "phone calls" they are getting are pissed off "customers" in a way.
Wiley came on the boob tube and basicly stated, SEE EVERYONE, He's evil TOO!!! But I'll save the day!
To me, this seems like a good way to tie in the story of rogue robots, later to be rogue reploids.
I'm sure more story will unfold. The exciting part about this one is they CLAIMED it will have MORE STORY then any of the other Mega Man 1-8.
less graphics more stories and levels space to make because we move from Kb's to Gigabytes now days.
This will be a long game I bet.
The Megaman X series and Megaman 1 through 9 (more if they decide so) are completely different series. So the events in this game aren't going to have anything to do with events in the Megaman X series. Though a tie-in would be pretty cool, it's not going to happen.
