Nomura: Kingdom Hearts 3 "visuals" before end of 2007 |

What a tease. If PlayStation Universe (PSU) got their translation right, Tetsuya Nomura has recently told Famitsu that the world can expect "visuals" of Kingdom Hearts 3 before the year's end. By "visuals" this can mean: target render demonstrations, gameplay and CGI demonstrations, or even real-time rendered gameplay or visuals. PSU offers no specifics, which may mean they found none in Famitsu to confirm which visuals Nomura was talking about.Other dogs that didn't bark: whether it will appear on the PS3 and/or the Wii (or elsewhere), whether it will use the White Engine or Unreal Engine 3, any other details about the "other games" in the Kingdom Hearts universe (and their destination platforms), and if Rufus the Naked Molerat, true to form, will be a deus ex machina special attack. Hey, anything can happen.

I really hope this comes out on the PS3 more than the Wii. However, if it does come out for the Wii, they better make it worth it to come out for the Wii.
By visuals he meant the amazing visuals of Pixar quality cartoons.. Just wait.
Before I say it all, I'll admit I'm biased on it. I have a Wii, I don't want a PS3, but it does seem the right choice for it really, it's got the target audience and besides, how much detail can they put into donald duck? Most of the people who play it won't care about seeing every single feather. That said, I will get a PS3 for it if I have to.

fed up with the graphics thing. Wii is more powerful than last gen. Yes it is stop bringing it up. The masses of people (i.e. not us who flaunt gaming sites) know what the difference between 480p and 1080p. In fact most people who are looking a Wii Sports say hey these are nice graphics. Why, because it's bright and colorfull and the majority of people don't feel graphics are the end all be all of there purchase. They just want to know if they have the system that will play the game
well, since end of 2007, I'm guessing this may be a demo. I really hope so....Then again...

um no fanboyism but gfx are alot of what youre paying for isnt it??? because if not, why not make every game look like n64 graphics and just focus on gameplay? ok sure the gameplay will be fun but it will be extremely disturbed by the terrible gfx. Gameplay and gfx go hand in hand. And its not SIGNIFICANTLY more powerful then an xbox. most definitely its more powerful then a ps2 by alot but an xbox? Its cpu power is slightly stronger and its gpu's power is slightly more powerful just look at the numbers and specs the wii's cpu is extremely close in architecture to its gamecube cpu just with a higher clock and alittle bit higher everythign else but its not Alot more powerful then a xbox
Nomura hinted at visuals... I guarantee,like i said earlier, the graphics will be on par with Pixar animations. That being said these "breathtaking visuals",that i will also guarantee arent coming to the Wii,will be either a PS3 exclusive or come to both PS3 & 360. If wii do get KH it will be ports of KH1 & KH2. again these are just predictions.
If they were to make games nowadays with N64 quality visuals, it would detract from the gameplay experience. However, we have reached a point in gaming where graphics are mostly good enough as to not effect the actual gaming experience to a great degree. We can look at the game we are playing and easily say "Hey look, that's a nazi, I should probably shoot it!". You have to admit, there is really no point in having each and every individual arm hair. Sure, it will attract people and hold their attention for several minutes (probably depends on the person; more so with the younger, more easily-influenced crowd), however, 90+% of the enjoyment comes from actually playing the game, not looking at it (I can go outside and look at stuff if I want. Oooh, look at the textures on that tree). If you are a fan of Kingdom Hearts and honestly say "Oh, if the graphics are the same it will be bad" then you don't deserve to call yourself a fan. I've actually never played Kingdom Hearts so I couldn't care less how many feathers are rendered on Donald Duck.
is more important then Graphics...and alot of last gens games look great....some of the games on the ps3 and 360 barely outdo the games that were amazing on the ps2/xbox

Graphics do account for "wowie!" moments in gaming but they arent everything . I agree with DrMongo, graphics on ps2/x box are "good enough" and thatis what the wii is a suped up x box...that what i hear anyways
I'm willing to bet its not gonna be on Wii. But thats the beauty of gaming,where we can love any games on anysystem. And IMO and Visually impressive KH on PS3/360 would be the best

Gameplay doesnt evolve without the graphics. While new inovations come up you cant just throw it into something old and exspect it to be great. Imagine if apple never made their ipod thinner but made a big ass box with an lcd that plays movie instead of releasing something thinner? the technology exist its not that hard, which is why they do change with their new features. i would prefer the game to come out on ps3. They should make it come out for both ps3 and wii that would offer for some cool game play on the wii and it would make the sony fans happy. i just would kill square enix if they let it com out on xbox...i dont like xbox....its queer...=]
yeah the PSu title was a little misleading but its good that you noticed that we didn't mean that the game was coming out by the end of 2007....like many readers...lol. Yeah, there were no specifics on what will be showed...just that we can probably expect it at TGS.

Sucks that Blue Dragon wont sell as much as Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. Plus, DBZ is the most over rated anime ever. Kingdom Hearts games both have got the same, if not better, scores than Blue Dragon, which IMO looks like utter crap. I'm very disappointed with what they came up with :( The whole reason I got a PS3 was to experience RPG's differently, not the same type of game play/experience as last gen with only updated graphics. If I did, i'd just replay ff's 1-10.

graphics do matter dont fool yourself. putting it on the wii wouldnt ruin the series but im sure they realize what console their fanbase came from. if they switched mid series they would lose a lot of customers, myself included. besides the came would feel wierd with that kind of control. its much better with the ps controller. swinging wont work for everything.

If they moved kingdom hearts 3 to xbox 360 it wouldn't be that bad. 360 currently has more units sold, it would improve console sales in japan and they have little rpg competition. My guess is that it wil stay on PS3 and maybe 360. Considering how similar their controller layouts and graphic capabilities are it's very likely especially with growing development costs. And for the person who said they shouldn't move kingdom hearts mid series. It's not certain if they're continuing the story arc. Sora and co. weren't in the secret ending.
I really hope they keep the game on the Playstation platfrom (ps2 --> ps3), bringing KH to another console would ruin the series. One of the main reasons why I loved the KH series so much was that it was ONLY ON PS2. NOT XBOX or WII or whatever else. Keep it that way!

kindgom hearts should not i repeat should not be on the wii!!! that would ruin everything do you know how tired you would get of swinging that remote around to move the keyblade you would get really tired because of all the heartless in the game! Besides who would want a wii anyway it's most likely going to be for both the playstation 2 and the playstation 3
