Activision's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the Nintendo Wii - Image 1With musically inclined gamers gearing up for the sequel to everyone's favorite guitar jamming game, Activision's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock promises itself to be quite a treat for those who enjoy rocking out on a guitar controller. However, people have to wonder if Wii console owners getting the game will be on the short end of the stick with Nintendo's aversion to having third-party publishers use the Wii for online gaming.

The multiplayer online feature for Guitar Hero III was definitely one of the much awaited modes of play that everyone's been clamoring for a long time. And it would certainly be a waste if the Wii would skip out on this feature. However, there may yet be a ray of hope out there for Wii owners.

Bryan Lam, Senior PR Specialist for Red Octane, had this to say when pressed for an answer on the matter: "We're working closely with Nintendo for an online solution, though at the moment we're unable to confirm the status of the online multi-player."

It's not a lot to hope for, but at least the possibility is there. Wii console owners getting Guitar Hero III can only cross their fingers and hope for the best in the meantime.

» Losing interest...

OK, I WAS going to buy this due to the lack of a Rock Band Wii, but I am getting pretty pissed off now.

Rock Band Wii is rumored to be in the works anyway.

» Free PS3

Do you wish you could have a free ps3. Well all you need to do is go to http://www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=4049743. Here all you have to do is sign up and do one referral. Once that is completed just refer people and wait for your ps3 in that mail.

Step 1: Go to http://www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=4049743

Step 2: Sign up and choose an account type (Referral is the easiest and the best)

Step 3: Complete just 1 offer (like Blockbuster or Stamps.com) and refer up to 14 people to do the same (eBay! Do what I did, copy my ad). Its cool because although you have to use your credit card, you don't have to pay a single penny, just don't forget, if you sign up for stamps.com, don't forget to cancel the account before 30 days of subscription, YOU PAY $0..... (for stamps install the program and print one stamp to make sure it goes through.)

If Canadian go and sign up for the zip.ca one page two of most popular. Both are free REMEMBER TO CANCEL BEFORE IT EXPIRES LIKE AFTER IT IS CONFERMED

Step 4: Receive your PS3 for FREE!!!!!!!!!!( Even The Shipping Is Free!!!)

For proof that this is for real, check out this site: http://www.trainn.org/reviews.php

» Rumour.....

Personally I believe there will still be online in the Wii version, IGN did a hands on preview of the wii version 2 days ago and they said there was a 'Nintendo WFC' option on the menu! Also it said it was a near final build........fingers crossed eh?

Great, now I don't have to annoy Harmonix for a RB Wii.
