Nintendo's Wii Fit in action - Image 1If you're planning on working out Nintendo-style, now is as good a time to start as any. People in North America can finally get the chance to try out Wii Fit from the comfort of their own homes this May 19.

Boasting a variety of more than 40 yoga, aerobics, strength training, and balance activities, Wii Fit allows gamers to get themselves into shape through the use of the Wii Balance Board accessory that goes with the game.

Wii Fit will be available at the Nintendo World store in Rockefeller Plaza for a premium of US$ 89.99. In addition, the first 1,000 customers in the area who place a US$ 5 pre-order deposit will receive a special bonus Wii Fit T-shirt featuring the image and reproduced autograph of the Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto.

Wii Fit has the distinction of being one of the best selling console titles in Japan. It literally took Japan by storm last year - with over 1.4 million copies sold since its release last December - and molded everyone into leaner and meaner gamers through its physically intensive exercise activities.

I'm glad they didn't bust over Guitar Hero's price, that could've been ugly.

There's just not enough information about this publicly available about how it only teaches you basic moves but not enough to actually lose weight. I really think that it's a bigger gimmick than the Wii machine itself but people believe in the Wii losing them weight and if this is what it takes to get people away from their cable t.v. or their computer then maybe this isn't as bad as the media cracks it up to be.

I don't see anyone seriously flying to NY for this then flying back to pick it up but I do see the T-shirts going on ebay...

Ya caught me! Hehehe... I fly to NY every once in a while. I happen to be going this weekend. So while I have my NY ticket, I wont be there for the Wii Fit...BUMMER! Leave it to a Chinese based company to only hand out "large" or "medium" T-Shirts to people buying the WII FIT!!! HAHA! It wouldn't fit me anyway!

I couldn't agree with you more! I don't think the Wii Fit in itself is supposed "make" you lose weight. It's suppose to give you the tools you need to "help" you lose weight on your own. It's supposed to "jumpstart" the activity in the first place.

In the end, like you said, even if it helps a little....who cares? Let people have their fun!

It's as is Mr. Nonsense wants us to go back to book burning days and the only thing people are allowed to do are what HE DEEMS as appropriate.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't we eventually KILL people with those objectives?

"Why is it when I say Wii fit does not make you lose weight, I'm wrong?"

Because that's not ALL you say. If that was ALL you said then you'd be right. But you go ON AND ON AND ON about how the Wii Fit can do NOTHING to help you lose weight.

"I was the one of the first to point that out, but as usual, I get flamed by the angry mob of Wii-tards!"

Yeah, read above idiot.

"What is that supposed to mean, that I'm a nazi?"

It's suppose to mean exactly what it says. Every time someone is excited about something you come in and tell them how wrong they are and RETARDED they are to like what they like and imply HOW DARE THEY buy such a thing. Do the math yourself....if you're capable.

"Yes you're wrong, as it's called free speech, and I can say whatever I want about the Wii."

And? No one is removing your posts you dipsh1t. That's as far as your free speech goes. Everyone else has the same right you do and are exercising that right when they slam you for all your lies.

"You are the nazi, as anything I say, even opinions are wrong."

As usual, you are WRONG. Your opinions are your opinion. IN FACT I HAVE PROOF of my specifically stating, "Well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it...." The part where you FAIL here is that you don't give opinion. YOU LIE....and lie and lie and lie..... Or, you give opinion with a bunch BS mixed it. If all you did was give an actual OPINION without the lies surrounding it then you wouldn't have a problem here.

"Even when I say Wii fit does not help with exercise or weight loss is wrong"

You never said that. You always included a bunch of lies.

"but someone else is right when THEY say the same thing!"

Yeah, read above idiot.

"You are trying to crush all opposition through lies"

Only you lie. You have NO LINKS proving otherwise.

"ranting speeches, and unflinching loyalty to the Nintendo regime. You are the biggest nazi on this site"

I'm a nazi because I like Nintendo? Or I'm a nazi because you inaccurately labeled me as a liar? Either way, you obviously have no clue as to what a nazi is. Also, why are you talking about nazi's?

"and your death threat is proof of that."

What death threat? Do we need to add INSANE to your list of attributes? I asked a QUESTION above about what WE (as a planet) does to people who ACT like you. Once again you FAIL.

"Too bad you can't get the $0.25 T shirt with the reproduced autograph of your Nazi dictator Miamoto."

So now Miamoto is a nazi? Wow, you truly are the biggest POS I have ever come across.

"Idiots like you can always pay $50 and up for it on ebay!"

So I'm an idiot because I'm a consumer? Do you ever have anything "real" to say? Or is this crap all you have?
