Nintendo's pre-E3 bad news bit |
Ó
Remember the days when Nintendo fans were secretly gnashing their teeth when the much-awaited Revolution console was renamed into a seemingly laughable name: the Wii? When Ninty supporters had to endure the taunts thrown in their direction by Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 supporters?Yes, we still remember those days. It's good to reminisce the times when Nintendo stood by with their decisions, practiced good damage control, and weathered the generally initial hostile reception by the market.
Now, it seems that Nintendo has to endure those times again in the advent of E3. With such news as Super Smash Bros. Brawl E3 demo not being playable, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption not having multiplayer online mode, the Big N may have ended up disappointing many of their eager followers.
It should be noted that Metroid's gameplay never emphasized multi-player gaming in the first place, and sacrificing the option to play Metroid online with friends may be a necessary thing to do in order to fully concentrate time and resources on the main course: FPS single-player. The inability to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl in E3 could be excused as well, if Nintendo manages to compensate by making sure the all new Wii game line-up to be announced this E3 will be well worth it.
It will be interesting to see how Nintendo will handle less-than favorable gamer reception, and how it will all turn out. Stick with us as we get more E3-related news!

Killzone 2 better be good because its the only game that will convince me to spend 600-500 bucks on the ps3. M$ has halo 3 to show but I lost interest. Everyone wants to see(xbox fanboys are hoping it doesn't look good so they can bash) killzone and if it looks as good as the trailer. SOny dont fu/k up!
Okay, prime is out, brawl is out. What about Battalion wars 2? Mario Kart Wii? I think Nintendo don't want to feed us what we already know. They want us to feed info that will go until the next e3. Sorry for sounding queer but that is what i think on the situation. And i generally think nintendo will be focusing on more hardware in the e3.
This is exactly why I traded my Wii in, there are no serious or good games.
If u actually traded in your wii, then why are you STILL reading wii.qj.net. You gae knobmaster.
Maybe he read this article on just normal QJ.Net, not wii.qj.net Maybe you didnt know there's a general section that covers all of QJ's news
Nintendo should have multiplayer on Prime, but I don't care. I still play CS for PC, and Halo1, 2 for my multiplayer needs... Anyway, I doubt Corruption could top those three.
nintindo are compleately lazy a$$$$ pricks.and they can kiss my a$$$$ for scroowing us all for online multiplayer in mp3c.damn you nintendo, damn you to helll, you worthless muther FFUUKKRRZ
FPA not FPS. Thats the right way you N00bs!
well said. the only good game on the ps3 is killzone. thats some *****.
I enjoy reading up on ever console, not that somebody like you would realise, because you have an IQ one above a cheese plant.
Whoever writes these articles is a complete n00b. I t was announced ages ago metroid wouldn't have online multiplayer.
You obviously never played Twilight Princess or Super Paper Mario, both were extremely good games, and Zelda is quite serious...so...y'know....shut up when you don't know what you're talking about, okay?
...Wow. One disappointment and you you start *****ing? That's sad. Metroid was never meant to be an online multiplayer game anyways, it's not the end of the world.
