Those of you who are obsessed with those cute little Mii avatars will be thrilled to find out that Nintendo finally opened up its latest Wii Channel. Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime's previously announced Check Mii Out Channel focuses on catering to the needs of Mii lovers who enjoy making and putting their little Mii avatars on display.

After confirming your selection on the channel, you can submit one of the preselected Mii to represent your Wii, and label it as your "Mii Artisan". Once you've designated your Mii Artisan you can then move onto the actual channel.

You can then put your Mii on display at the Posting Plaza for other people to check out or, if you're pretty confident you can enter your Mii in the Contests section of the channel.

So far, there's only one contest type available and even then there's been very little activity from it. Hopefully, it'll pick up as more people visit the channel and get used to it. But in the meantime, you can always take your pick of Mii avatars to choose as your friends or rate them for their cool skins.

All of this is available as a free download through the Wiiware section of the Wii Shop Channel. You can check out a short walkthrough of the Check Mii Out channel through the video below. If that the kind of thing that piques your interest then go ahead and make yourself a Mii.
