Nintendo World Store NYC

New York City's Nintendo World Store at the Rockefeller Center has now stopped taking pre-orders for their next generation console, the Wii. According to various reports which were confirmed by Kotaku, the flagship store did stop taking reservations for it on Friday, October 13 (yes, the irony) in the afternoon and do not have any plans to open up any further pre-orders. Effectively, the NWS has ran out of Wii Pre-orders.

Although not a single member of the NWS staff wouldn't confirm exactly how many consoles had been reserved, they did say that they believe they will be able to satisfy customers that do have a pre-order from them. Also, they mentioned that they still have some consoles lying around, ready for anybody to walk into the flagship Nintendo Store in the US and pick up a Wii on launch day. However, if you expect to pick one up on launch day, we advise you to leave at least one day before and bring food, water, and a tent. It'll be a long wait if you want to get your hands on Nintendo's new little baby.
