Nintendo's gone and censored the D word in Metroid Prime 3 Trilogy. That's right, the D word. This was found in the first heavy dialogue voice overs for the Wii version, making people wonder why the sudden sensitivity against it. Dayum.

If you listen closely, you'll hear Admiral Dane in the new version saying, "No! They're targeting the planetary-defense system." In the original, "Damn" can be heard loud and proud in the place of "No."

Check it out yourself.

weird...

Especially because the game is rated T... Well at lest they didn't beep it and write "d***" (censored with starlets) in the subtitle now that would be really ridiculous.

another proof that Nintendo is going the way of childish games..... Nintendo's hardcore has lost. The times of great games like on Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Gameboy Advance are over. Harcore gamers are just not profitable enough for Nintendo.

Conker was a 3rd party develped game, just like House Of The Dead Overkill and things like that. Basically, Metroid Prime Trilogy isn't 3rd party developed, and I would assume anything in house would probably be thought to be in better standards.

.

i've seen a GBA game have the word 'damn' in the subtitles. it was rated E, too. D:

search first

it was not a third party game u fool, Rare was owned by Nintendo by then and they released the game under the "Nintendo" logo, Rare made other games like Donkey Kong 64 or Perfect Dark or Banjo Kazooie and when NINTENDO sold them to microsoft they sold them with some of those licenses as well, but they were NOT a third party company.

Damn...

The worst part of this all is it's a T-rated game. Unless you are living in a hole, I think probably 99.9% of all 13 year olds have heard the word "damn" at some point. Chock this up to 1 angry parent writing a moronic letter to Nintendo... >_>
