Nintendo to release black Wii for North America?

Japan got the sexy black Wii back in August 2009, then Europe got theirs November later that year. But when asked about a North American release, Nintendo said that they didn't have any plans of bringing the alternative color to the region. Well, that was last year. Rumors say: they do now.

Tips from various retailers have informed Kotaku that the black Wii, bundled along with MotionPlus and Wii Sports Resort, will be available in North America next month. That's May 9th for the US, and the 23rd for Canada. You can get the entire package at US$ 199, so the tips say.

Good bundle, new(ish) look, good price. Any takers?
