Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii has quite a collection of Assist Trophy characters such as the spiky Lakitu from  the Mario series and the cute Piplup from Pokemon. The official website, Smash Bros. DOJO!, revealed yet another character who will be making an appearance in the game: Little Mac from the NES hit Mike Tyson's Punch-Out.

Old-school gamers will remember this guys as he pummeled his way though the different circuits to beat Mike Tyson and claim the world title. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Little Mac lends his powerful punching skills to your character as he dashes towards your foes and unleashes a flurry of jabs ending with an uppercut.

While it's nice to see Little Mac in action once again, it would have been pretty sweet if they made him a playable character instead of an Assist Trophy. Hopefully, Nintendo will consider putting this legend in a more prominent role in their next Smash Bros. title.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is slated to be released this February 10.

argh!

If they take too long, I might be forced to punish them by getting an ISO of this! You've been warned. Also, ya, little mac would be a great character to play as... I mean, his uppercut move can act as his recovery jump (just like mario's coin uppercut)!
