Nintendo Rumored To Be Planning Online Wii Community for Gamers |

Nintendo is apparently planning on creating its very own Wii online community. The guys over at Nintendo are probably thinking that the next-gen console wars should be won in all factors-- including the online community segment of the showdown. Microsoft already has an established online setup with the Xbox Live and the PS3 is busy prepping their very own with the PS3 Hub. We earlier reported on how the Nintendo DS and Wii connectivity will come about. The Nintendo DS recently received an upgrade through the availability of Opera DS, a popular web browser built specifically for the DS handheld; along with this, the Nintendo Wii will feature an Opera browser.
In fact, it was reported that Nintendo has registered several trademarks with obvious names that point to online communities such as WiiCulture, WiiCommunication and the two most obvious ones, WWWii and WiiOnline. Although most of these are still backfence talks, the idea of a Wii online community is appealing - no wonder, the rumor has been going on for quite some time now. How about you? Online Wii community will benefit everyone
"1st post"? All the idiots who care about that stay at PSPUpdates and PS3. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is a fairly good service. I still hope they ditch the friends code bull***** for the Wii and it is still compatible with the Nintendo Wi-Fi dongle.
hmm the nintendo wi-fi its... just regular... but its really easy to use.... anyway i would like something like xbox live

Finally Nintendo comes up with something better, we've seen how great xbox live works (and how good the other stuff isnt) and now we get something to compete. And this cant possibly be worse then *shivers* friend codes....
I use Steam for all most all of the games I play online. I have even bought games over Steam. I think a Steam like network would be nice. I never used Xbox live...

I remember seeing on the web: Wii patented a online service similar to Xbox live.... Now this is SWEETNESS... cuz thenm they can copy the whole xbox stuff and shut down xbox live!
