Nintendo of Australia Expects 2006 Launch

If console launches have taught us anything, it's that console manufacturers hate Europe and Australia. However, it looks like Nintendo of Australia has received some Wii consoles! They let some Australian media play around with it and expect the console to be released later this year! Not only that, they even confirmed that the price and date would be revealed in the next two weeks!

There has been speculation that Nintendo will push the release of the Wii in Australia and Europe to 2007 following PlayStation 3's delay, but Nintendo Australia are very confident of a pre-Christmas Wii launch. They promise price and date will be announced within the next fortnight.

Fortnight? I expect everything to be revealed much sooner than that! More like September 14th, right guys? Australians keep your fingers crossed that you don't get screwed over like you have for so very long!

Big N better release it 2006 in Aus or iam gonna be pissed, just cos the ps3 doesnt come out later there doesnt mean we wii fans have to suffer...
