Nintendo: No black Wii for you, America! |

You read that right, America. Nintendo has no plans of an overseas release for the sleek black Wii that's rolling out in Japan next month. If you really want one, importing's the only way to go at this time. That, or modding your old Wii.
This was confirmed by a Nintendo rep to GameDaily recently. According to the rep, Nintendo has "no plans to have other colors of Wii in the U.S." Of course, Nintendo already has a reputation for releasing a whole rainbow of colors for its consoles, so it could still only be a matter of time until we see these Wiis outside Japan.

Black Knight case =) It's a very high quality Wii case, looks authentic (I also have a green LED light for the slot) and it's easy to install. And in response to Felis.. Who cares if it's underpowered and can't play Killzone or Gears of War? MOD your Wii, install the homebrew channel and do what I do - use it as an all-in-one retro system! I replayed Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time, I finally can play Majora's Mask (never had the expansion pack), and when I'm with my cousins I hop onto my SNES emulator and we all play Turtles in Time. Amazingg I don't regret my purchase at all.
Eh, whatever. Whites are better anyway.

What's funny is the average person will automatically assume race. When the fact is, WHITES are better. Cars, appliances, consoles...anything. White shows no dust when black shows LOTS of dust.

white also has it's faults, it gets dirty pretty fast.

color to show no dust is silver or red i got my wii in red customized well for no rezone i dont play the damn thing :....(

No matter what color it is, it still sucks.
Shame Nintendo wont release this here, It would've been cool to have another color for the Wii, but it's easy to import Japanese systems and getting them to run in the NTSC region, they use the same power supply as we do so there should be no problems

If you want a black Wii, just import one and use the AnyRegion Changer, or do like me and just casemod it. I've had a black Wii case for 2 years now.
